Transitioning Service Members

Start your civilian career before you take off the uniform.

The months before separation go fast. Maayu helps you use them well: translate your experience, choose a direction, build your résumé and practice interviews, so you're ready when your last day comes.

We hear you

What transitioning members tell us

“I don't know what my job is called out there.”

Military titles and codes don't map neatly to civilian roles. Recruiters skim past what they don't understand.

“TAP was a lot in one week.”

Transition classes cover a great deal at once. The real work (résumé, applications, interviews) happens in the months after.

“I'm still on duty full time.”

Career planning competes with the mission. You need help that fits evenings, weekends and deployments.

Questions

Frequently asked

When should I start?

Twelve to twenty-four months before separation is ideal, but it's never too late. If you're already out, start now.

Does this replace TAP?

No. TAP is required and valuable. Maayu helps you keep moving between and after TAP sessions.

Do I need a résumé to begin?

No. Tell us about your service and goals; we'll build from there.

Is it free?

Career support is usually provided through a sponsoring program, so there's often no cost to you. We'll always explain any cost before you enroll.

Your last day in uniform is a starting line.
