Privacy Policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Maayu Government Solutions Inc. (“MaayuGS,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit maayugs.com and its subdomains, use the Maayu Command Window (“MCW”), or contact us through our web forms (together, the “Site”).
1. Who we are
Maayu Government Solutions Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based in Ashburn, Virginia. Our mission is to help veterans, service members and military families find meaningful employment.
TAP Coach (tap.maayugs.com), where candidates create accounts, is a separate Maayu application. Its own privacy notice and terms are presented when you sign up there and govern information you provide in the app, including any documents you upload.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and inquiry forms: your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, location, whether you are a service member, veteran, spouse or other, your organization and role, and anything you write in your message.
- MCW conversations: the messages you type or speak to the MCW, and any details you enter in its career-support or call-back forms.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, DD-214s or other service records, medical information or financial account information through the Site. If you need to share service records, do so only inside TAP Coach.
Information collected automatically
- Technical and log data: our hosting and content-delivery providers record standard request information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page and time of the request.
- Visit source: when you arrive, the Site notes the referring page, the page you landed on and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source). This is kept in your browser for the visit and included with any inquiry you submit, so we know how you found us.
- Browser storage: the Site uses your browser's session storage to keep your MCW conversation and visit source while your tab is open. It is cleared when you close the tab.
- Analytics: on www.maayugs.com we use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the Site. See “Cookies and analytics” below.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, the links and buttons you use, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (derived from your IP address). We also record when someone clicks to sign up for or sign in to TAP Coach, books a briefing, or submits an inquiry. We record only the type of action and inquiry, never your name, email address, phone number or message.
- No advertising. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we have turned off Google's advertising storage, ad personalization and ad user-data signals on the Site.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Site does not load Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics at all.
- Other ways to opt out. Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Site works fully without analytics cookies.
- How Google uses the data. Google processes analytics data on our behalf under its terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your request and provide career support, veteran-hiring and program services you ask about
- To contact you by the method you choose
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Site, and to prevent spam and abuse
- To understand which pages and outreach lead people to contact us
- To prepare aggregate, de-identified reports for organizations that sponsor programs
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use
4. AI assistance and the Maayu Command Window
The MCW is an AI assistant. It answers questions about our services and can take your request for a person to follow up. A member of our team reviews requests; we do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. AI-assisted content can be wrong, so please confirm anything important with our team.
Voice input: if you use the microphone, your web browser's speech-recognition service converts your speech to text before it reaches the MCW. Depending on your browser, this may be processed by the browser provider (for example, Google for Chrome or Apple for Safari) under that provider's privacy terms. You can always type instead. Read-aloud replies are generated by your device.
We do not use personal information submitted through the Site to train artificial-intelligence models.
5. Calls and text messages
If you ask us to contact you by phone or text, we will use the number you provide to respond to your request and support your career services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive calls or texts is not a condition of any purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the Site and our services under confidentiality obligations, such as cloud hosting, content delivery, data storage and email delivery (Amazon Web Services), website analytics (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), and communications providers.
- Maayu Inc., which licenses the Maayu technology we use, as needed to operate that technology for us.
- Employers: only with your permission, when you ask us to introduce you for an opportunity.
- Sponsoring organizations: if you take part in a program sponsored by an agency, school, employer or veteran organization, we share program information with that sponsor as described when you enroll; otherwise only in aggregate, de-identified form.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, legal process or government requests, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or MaayuGS.
- Business changes: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
7. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and contact information for as long as needed to respond to you and provide the services you request, and generally no longer than 24 months after our last interaction with you, unless a longer period is required by law or by an agreement with a program sponsor. Hosting logs are kept for shorter periods for security and troubleshooting. Session storage in your browser is cleared when you close the tab.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Stop contacting you, or change how we contact you
- Withdraw consent you have given
Residents of some states, including Virginia and California, have these rights under state law, and we honor them for everyone to the extent practical. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and an authorized agent may make a request for you with proof of authorization. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will respond to appeals as required by law, and Virginia residents who remain dissatisfied may contact the Virginia Attorney General.
Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of; we also treat Global Privacy Control signals as a request not to sell or share, and when your browser sends one, the Site does not load Google Analytics. To make a request, use our contact form or write to us at the address below.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Government-sponsored programs
MaayuGS is a private company. Mention of federal, state or local programs on the Site does not imply government endorsement. If you take part in Maayu services through a government-sponsored program, that program's privacy notices (including any Privacy Act statement) also apply and may limit how your information is used.
12. Other things to know
- Links to other sites. The Site links to sites we don't control, such as SBA.gov and TAP Coach. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
- Do Not Track. We do not track visitors across third-party websites for advertising. Because there is no common standard for browsers' older “Do Not Track” setting, we honor Global Privacy Control instead (see “Cookies and analytics” above).
- Where information is processed. The Site is operated in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. Google may process analytics data in other countries under its own safeguards.
- Changes. We will post any changes here and update the date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice on the Site.
